Krafton is finally preparing to move forward with *PUBG: Blindspot*, announcing an Early Access release scheduled for February 5. This title holds a notable distinction as the first official, non-mobile spin-off from the core *PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds* universe. After launching the initial beta phase nearly a year ago, the developers are ready to push the game toward its public debut.
*Blindspot* completely shifts the established battle royale format for something much tighter and more tactical: intense 5v5 battles played from a top-down perspective. The primary objective tasks attackers with strategically breaching a building, breaking into a vault, and installing a device known as the Decrypter. Teams can utilize powerful weapons like grenade launchers and explosive hammers to destroy barriers and create new pathways. Defenders must rely on strategic gunplay and barricades to slow their adversaries and protect the objective.
Ahead of the Early Access launch, the developers have showcased significant improvements since the beta, including enhanced visuals, a refined user interface, and crucial adjustments to controls and balance. Krafton is emphasizing that this upcoming build boasts a “launch-ready level of quality,” suggesting a stable foundation for the continuing development cycle as they incorporate player feedback into the final product.
