The annual speedrunning spectacular, Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2026, has just wrapped up its charity marathon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the community once again smashed fundraising expectations. The event, held at the Wyndham Grand, successfully raised an astounding $2,443,414 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to cancer early detection and prevention.
This year’s haul adds significantly to the impressive legacy of Games Done Quick, which has been hosting the popular January stream since 2010. According to organizers, the total money contributed by GDQ events to the Prevent Cancer Foundation now stands at over $28 million, representing a large portion of the $59 million the streams have collectively raised for all charities over the years.
The week-long marathon was packed with incredible runs showcasing the talent of the speedrunning community. Viewers were treated to a dizzying performance in *Mario Kart World’s* Free Roam mode, as well as a truly unique 70-person relay race in *Super Mario 64*, where players tagged in and out to collect a single star each. Other highlights included a five-minute blitz of *Chrono Trigger*, a high-speed demonstration of *Hollow Knight: Silksong*, and an epic playthrough of *Pokémon Emerald*, proving that the power of gaming for good remains stronger than ever.
