Diablo 4’s Leaderboards, And An Annoying Affix, Are Currently Broken

The rollout of competitive leaderboards in *Diablo 4*, introduced via the challenging Tower dungeon, has hit an immediate speed bump. Blizzard has confirmed that while players can freely attempt the new activity, the scoring system is currently experiencing significant issues.

According to a communication from Community Manager Marcoose on the official forums, The Tower dungeon remains open for business, but leaderboard results are not populating consistently or correctly for all classes. This means dedicated players hoping to immediately stake their claim in the competitive hierarchy will have to be patient. Blizzard’s team is actively investigating the data flow problem, but as of now, there is no estimated time for a resolution.

In addition to the leaderboard woes, an infamously frustrating enemy feature—the Executioner affix—has been temporarily disabled entirely. The removal was triggered not by balance concerns, but by a persistent and annoying audio bug tied to the ability introduced in Patch 2.5.2. Fortunately, the unexpected technical setback is being turned into a positive for players. Blizzard has announced that they are using this mandatory hiatus to completely rework the Executioner affix, aiming to make it significantly less punishing before reintroducing a refined version in a subsequent update.
