The publisher behind the critically acclaimed soulslike *Lies of P*, Neowiz, is openly embracing artificial intelligence as a core part of its future strategy. Self-identifying as a “forward-thinking technology company,” Neowiz Co-CEO Sean Kim recently detailed how the firm is actively exploring AI solutions to optimize its operations.
Speaking to Game Informer, Kim noted that AI adoption is already prevalent in Neowiz’s home base of Korea, citing the region as one of the most active users of tools like ChatGPT. He observed that it is rare to find a Korean game company today that isn’t utilizing foundational models such as ChatGPT or Gemini in some capacity.
For Neowiz specifically, the focus isn’t necessarily on immediate consumer-facing features, but rather on strengthening the backend. Kim explained that the company is “actively exploring how advanced learning tools can enhance our internal publishing productivity.” By integrating AI, Neowiz aims to process vast amounts of data significantly faster.
The ultimate objective of this digital acceleration is strategic. Kim emphasized that speeding up data processing will allow Neowiz’s teams to reach “better, more informed strategic decisions on how best to support our developers and engage with our community,” ensuring they can maximize player engagement across their portfolio.
